College
Farm Introduction
College
Farm Equestrian Centre is
located in the delightful village of West Markham (Between
Retford and Tuxford), in the heart of rural Northeast Nottinghamshire
with easy access to some of the best hacking in Nottinghamshire.
For a location map see here.
We
are situated within easy reach of some beautiful countryside
as well as being convenient for both the local Grove and Rufford
Hunt and other Hunts in the area, including South Notts, the
Burton, The Blankney and the Belvoir.
We
are a Local Authority-licensed riding establishment and our
premises are British Horse Society and the Association of
British Riding Schools approved. We are also a local Pony
Club Centre. You may be confident therefore, that we work
hard to maintain the highest standards of horse management,
tuition and safety.
We
are a friendly Centre with BHS qualified staff who are available
to discuss your requirements, whether they be for a novice,
just for fun or a BHS career student wishing to compliment
the tuition received on one of the courses for BHS NVQ stages
currently being run during term time by College Farm Equestrian
Centre (further details of the current courses on offer may
be found here).
We offer help and tuition towards the many BHS stages and
teaching qualifications, we are flexible to enable those training
whilst working to fit their horse education around a full-time
job.
Whatever
your aspirations, whether they be to sit on a horse for the
first time or prepare for a British Horse Society examination,
we are dedicated to provide you with a series of tuition tailored
specifically for you. We welcome all riders - children and
adults, novice or experienced, with or without your own horse
or pony. We also break and school young horses and re-school
older ones when required.
You
are most welcome to come and have a look around the Centre
and meet the staff. We will do our best to answer your questions.
It would be helpful if you would telephone beforehand, just
to check that someone will be available to spend the time,
that you rightly deserve, with you.
Please
download, print out and complete our questionnaire about stress
fractures from here.
